Edwardian 15ct Amethyst & Pearl Pendant/Brooch

Description

Edwardian Art Nouveau pendant that can also be worn as a brooch.  As a pendant it measures 55mm x 28mm, as a brooch 47mm x 28mm.  The pendant is set to the centre with an oval mixed cut amethyst measuring 8.5mm x 6mm with natural pearl set flowers either side and having a pearl and amethyst pear drop at the bottom.  The bail is also set with natural pearls and drops down when used as a brooch.  Hinge pin and ‘C’ catch for the brooch fittings.  Tested as 15ct yellow gold.  Weight 5.4g.  Suspended from a contemporary 18″ 18ct gold trace chain.
