Before the tea strainer there was a mote spoon. What is a mote spoon? In Georgian times, circa 1730 when the brewed tea was poured into a cup there was often stray tea leaves floating around. A good hostess would have a mote spoon on hand to scoop out the rogue tea leaves. The pointed end would be used to clear the obstruction that the tea leaves often caused in the spout. Hence the term "mote". The spoon often was used to scoop the fresh tea leaves from the caddy into the teapot, leaving the unwanted powdery dust behind. £120 PH5802/28

14ct Gold Coloured Jade Bracelet. I personally am not into multi-coloured jewellery but for some reason this really appeals to me. I think its eye catching and easy to wear. Would love… https://t.co/9VKvZM355n
