Victorian 15ct Pietra Dura Earrings

Description

Pietra dura is the art of using the inlay technique of using cut and fitted, highly polished coloured stones to create images. It is considered a decorative art.  These Victorian earrings, measuring 22mm in diameter, are a super example of this art having a lovely floral design.  Mounted in 15ct yellow gold frames (no hallmark but tested) with new contemporary 18ct gold continental fittings.  Gross weight 6.3g.
