The meaning behind this 225 year old mourning pendant touches my heart. The hand painted image is of a woman holding a blanket or piece of clothing, you can almost see her breathing in the scent of her lost loved one as she stands next to a marble memorial stone with an urn on top. In the background you can make out the image of a weeping willow tree. The words on the memorial stone read “Affection Weeps Heaven Rejoices”. On the back is engraved P.S Ob 8 May 1794. Measuring 30mm x 17mm (not including the top ring or jump ring). The pendant tests as 9ct gold. We have suspended the pendant from a 9ct 21″ trace chain weighing 4.5g.
PLEASE NOTE: This pendant does come in a box but it won’t be the one in the image.
