Vintage 1950’s ring set with three rubies and four diamonds. The centre oval mixed cut ruby measures 6mm x 4.5mm and there is a 3.5mm x 3mm oval mixed cut ruby set either end. Between the rubies are set two old cut diamonds, all weighing an estimated 0.05ct. Total diamond content estimated as 0.20ct. The rubies are possibly Siamese. The width of the ring measures 15mm. Made in all 18ct yellow gold with carved gallery and claw settings. The shank is finger size M1/2 and is hallmarked Sheffield 18ct (the date stamp is absent). The ring also has a personal engraving inside the shank “Forever Darling John 1950” so clearly had huge sentimental value in its previous life.
